Automeris by Tessa Lessord

Screen door between us
slide it off to the side and
let the moths come in

When it Felt Right by Tessa Lessord

Zigzag makes
an acute angle with that
keratin curtain
you grew

Emerald puddles
on digital munitions

While I pass the blunt
to Helios on his way home

I’m Tessa Lessord and I like to think I don’t even write poetry that much.

It’s typically a creative thing for me when I’m feeling stuck in my own head. I go through phases and get wrapped in it. It’s for me. This is my first time truly sharing it.

I’m actually formally trained in entomology (which is my day job), and most of the time you can find me catching live music, skiing, hugging dogs, camping, hiking, cooking, and behaving like a degenerate.
